What's Up with Maven at JavaOne
There is strong interest in Maven at JavaOne. I dealt with a number of questions after Sun revealed it is using Maven for Project GlassFish in the Day One keynote. If you are at JavaOne, I'd encourage you to stop by three booths:
- The O'Reilly Booth - The O'Reilly booth is toward the back of the Pavillion, stop by and check out the latest books and learn about SafariU. I'm personally intrigued by the new Java Game Programming title, and will be picking one up as soon as I can.
- The Mergere Booth - Mergere is a company that revolves around Maven support. Stop by the Mergere booth (booth #1535), and you'll get a chance to talk with Brett Porter, John Casey, and Jason van Zyl. If you have any questions about Maven, you should stop by and talk to these guys. I think Jason is giving a BOF tonight at the Marriot. Check your schedule. Don't miss it.
- The Apache Software Foundation Booth - The ASF has a booth, over near the Adode and Mergere booth in the 1500s. Check it out, they are raffling off free books at 5 PM, and it is a chance to talk to people who work on the software you use. Different projects attend to the booth at different times, so stop by and find out if there is someone who can answer your questions about Tomcat, Struts, MyFaces, Geronimo, or just general questions about Apache.
